09/07/2005: "Here I Am"

I am at Camp Shelby Mississippi supporting National Guard operations within this state.

I get to shower regularly now, and last night was my first good night of sleep since I left last Friday.

There are a lot of soldiers around here, and lots and lots of vehicles. There are helicopter flights ocurring at all hours of the day and night. The base has power, water, and cell phone coverage that is workable.

We have a lot of people that are being spread out all over the state to different operating centers, and command centers around the state.
