01/25/2006: "New Phones!"

Picked up a couple of new phones yesterday. I got two Samsung D357's and I love them! It is one of Cingular's PTT phones, and works like the well known Nextel service.

On here I add the name and number of the person I want to be able to talk to onto my contacts list. That sends a request to that persons phone to allow me to add and vice-versa. Simlar to setting up a buddy list on an instant messenger client. Once added I can see if they are available, in a DND status, or just not signed into the PTT service before I try to PTT them. You can even send them a notice requesting them to call you back if they aren't available.

Pretty sweet. I just have to recruit more people to get the phone so I can talk to them
