Wednesday, January 25, 2006New Phones!Picked up a couple of new phones yesterday. I got two Samsung D357's and I love them! It is one of Cingular's PTT phones, and works like the well known Nextel service. On here I add the name and number of the person I want to be able to talk to onto my contacts list. That sends a request to that persons phone to allow me to add and vice-versa. Simlar to setting up a buddy list on an instant messenger client. Once added I can see if they are available, in a DND status, or just not signed into the PTT service before I try to PTT them. You can even send them a notice requesting them to call you back if they aren't available. Pretty sweet. I've just started playing around with Walgreens.com and uploading photos to get printed (at any walgreens that I choose) and I have to say, I am very impressed with that service. I'm around it a lot because of work, but I mainly fix that type of stuff. Never really been the end user and I have to say I am pleased with the internet ordering. I've started ordering prints for photos that I have taken years ago and just held on to the digital. If you don't know about the service, or want to try it out, head over to Walgreens.com and give it a test drive. You get the first 20 prints for free after uploading your first photo.
