UPDATED: Apple's WWDC Event ... Apple Store Update?
I have noticed the news stories about the new 3G capable iPhone that is expected to be announced today. They started out months ago, and have grown in number just about every day since. The big new feature is supposed to be the 3G capability, which will give the iPhone broadband internet speeds. The rest of the features seem to be up in the air, with guesses from full GPS, to video phone, to lower iPhone prices.

Out of curiosity, I checked out the Apple.com webiste. If you go under iPhone, then click the link in the bottom right to Buy Now, it takes you to a page that says, "We are busy updating the store for you and will be back shortly."

Coincidence???

UPDATE: It has been announced. July 11th. That is when the 3G iPhone will be available. In addition to the 3G connection, the new iPhone also has the GPS receiver, a "flush" headphone adapter, improved audio, and decent battery life. The Apple website has been updated with the information on the new iPhone.

I almost forgot! The new iPhone will be available at a reduced price. $199 for 8GB and $299 for 16GB.
