New Phones Again
I forgot to mention Emily and I got new plans and new phones. Samsung D807s. They are pretty sweet. Still with Cingular, but Emily got her own account now. I had over 3000 rollover minutes saved up. However, I lost them all when I got off the family plan sad

No big deal, I never used many minutes, which is why I had that many rollover to begin with. Text messaging is what kills. Emily was using almost 2000 text messages a month! I thought I used text messaging constantly, and I was only using 500!

Google Bombs
I group of liberal slanted bloggers are using a tactic called Google Bombing to manipulate search results for Republican cadidates. A group from MyDD.com was referenced in the article. Mr. Bowers, a contributer to MyDD.com, asks this of his fellow bloggers: “When you discuss any of these races in the future, please, use the same embedded hyperlink when reprinting the Republican’s name. Then, I suppose, we will see what happens.”

You can read more about Mr. Bowers and MyDD.com by reading the articled linked to in the hyperlinks of this post.

If I'm not mistaken, Google Bombing simply involves taking text, and hyperlinking it to the website. Its usually pretty accurate to think that a hyperlink of a word will link to a site with more information, or whatever-the-word-is official site. By creating links to something different than the text, you can manipulate the way google displays its search results. A well-known Google Bomb of President Bush used words like "miserable failure" to link directly to official White House websites.

This would really only work if its done several times throughout the internet.

Crock Pot Chili
Out of boredom, I threw some ingredients together in my crock pot and made some very decent chili.

2 lbs of ground beef
1 packet of taco seasoning (would have used 2 if I had it)
2 cans of chili beans
2 cans of tomato soup
2 onions
2 cans of mexican-style diced tomatos

I browned the ground beef in a skillet and drained. Added to crockpot. Added the rest of the ingredients. I left big chunks of onion intact. Just the way I tried it. The mexican style diced tomatos are important. It adds the spice to the chili. You can use 1 can of mexican-style and 1 can of plain diced tomatos if you don't like the heat so much. I used 2 and think it came out perfect.

Heat up in crock pot until hot. You could also add ingredients to a large pot and heat on the stove.

After 20 Months Missing, My Wallet Returns Home
Almost 2 years ago, I lost a wallet. Had all my debit cards, IDs, money, etc. Looked everywhere for it; in my car, outside on the ground, called places I had been, drove out to places I had driven to. I had several other people look in my car, outside on the ground, etc. It had snowed that night, and I thought it might have fallen on the ground.

I filed a police report, which was necessary because it had my military ID in it. Got all new stuff. Eventually forgot about it.

Today, I saw there were chocolate muffins in the vending machine. I had no money to buy it. On my break, I went out to my car to dig for change. I was doing the climb-in-upside-down, legs all up in the air, looking under every crevice for money. I had up to 75 cents and I saw what looked like a wallet in a crazy spot under my passenger seat. I was able to dig it out, and there it was! My missing wallet from almost 2 years ago! It had almost 30 bucks in it!

The receipts were faded, but my IDs and cards were in almost pristine condition. It is amazing to me that I have been driving around for almost 2 years with that in my car. I suspect that my crazy driving may have dislodged it, and it fell to a place I could find it better.

The issue WAS NOT because of a messy car. I had cleaned that car many times. I have vacuumed under the seats and everything. I usually keep my car MUCH cleaner than most people I know. The wallet is black, and my interior is comprised of black carpet and black leather seats. It was very easy for it to blend in.

To finish the story, I was able to get the muffin, and it tasted great!

These were all scaled down, and I haven't had time to touch them up at all. The 'leaf in rocks' I left as I took it. If you click the link for it you will see the original photo.

Climate Change Again
http://epw.senate.gov/pressitem.cfm?party=rep&id=264308

Maybe if the media quits their extreme, alarmist, (and horrendously biased) reporting of Global Warming maybe they will be able to focus on and promote a better reason to cut back on pollution (of all kinds.) Our health!

Besides the side effects of polluting the air, water, and land that we breathe, drink and live on, I would like less pollution because I think it is unsightly. Who thinks a yard covered in trash looks good? Who thinks a dirty river is pretty? No one!

Why bother with the unproven, very debatable, no-way-to-tell-with-current-technology-with-any-accuracy "human caused Global Warming." There is all the reason in the world to cut back on emissions of all types just for aesthetic and human health reasons.

... and if you love trees, you should be all over this.....

The Latest
I haven't been blogging much, I know. I have been sick the last week. I have a headache right now, but I actually feel better now than I did earlier. I don't think I have mentioned the new computer I built. I felt like breaking away from my laptop for a while as my main computer. Now I have a desktop that is on all the time, that I use for my daily computing needs. The laptop is getting a much needed break. I got a sweet new 17" IBM LCD screen to go with it. Also sprung for the wireless keyboard and mouse. Really helps clean up the wire clutter that I had going on.

I just had a wonderful visit from Stacey, even though I wasn't feeling that great. Of course I felt fine when she was around. Here is a picture that I have been threatening to put on here. She didn't think I would.

Hillclimb was this past weekend, and I missed it because I didn't feel well enough to go. I don't usually go, but last year was ok.

My room is a wreck, and I need to get some rest. I hope to go to work tomorrow.
