Clint in New Orleans
Best of luck to Clint, who is in New Orleans on a Wal-Mart mission. He will be gone a couple weeks helping to get those Wal-Mart stores in the area back on their feet.

That reminds me of my own mission I had to the gulf states... and the pictures I promised and never delivered.

yeah I'm not doing it right now so wait longer.

O Christmas Tree!
So the family that is our home went out on a mission to find the Griswold Family Christmas Tree!

We had just strung up the first couple sets of lights that we have when I took this picture. I'll take more pictures as it gets decorated to show everyone.

Pictures Update
I have updated my photo gallery to include a sort of virtual tour of the house. Some of the pictures are a little blurry and I apologize. Click here to get there!

I still have loads of pictures to upload. I just upgraded and got more space on my web server, so I hope to post more files soon.

Sweet Home Chicago...
Hell yeah Chicago was a great time. Somehow we all got the perfect amount drunk i.e. drunk and not sick. The Bamboo Room was a good time. The finger in the car door part wasn't that cool (you'd just have to be there to know), but hopefully the rest of the night made up for it.

I came home this morning to evidence of drunkeness around the house. Nothing too bad though. No one is here right now. Emily went to the doctor because she has been sick, and Clint is out somewhere. I think I'm gonna work on making some food, and watch some football.

Happy Birthday Stacey!

Office Space
Cactus was a good time. They have a martini bar there now. A little pricey but I liked it.

This week I start my new shift at work. 10-630. It would have been my first weekend to work, but I had been planning a Chicago visit for Saturday and I found someone to take my hours.

I haven't been feeling well lately, probably because of the weather change. I'm much better now than I was yesterday though.

The Power....
Some stories that I keep forgetting to share....

I had drill last weekend. Due to the time difference between Danville and Indianapolis, I had to get up at 3am to leave by 4am (Central Time) and arrive before 5:30am.

Saturday night we had a massive thunderstorm in Danville. Severe and all that stuff. Of course, being the weather junkie I am, I had to be awake for it. The storm hit after midnight my time. The first flash of lightning from it took out our power. The cemetary down the street looks creepy during a thunderstorm.

The power was out until about 4:45am. I got up at 4 to get ready and had to do it by flashlight/candle light. I didn't need to go in so early so I was leaving around 5am, so I got 15 minutes worth of electricity at the house before I had to leave.

So that was Sunday morning. Today is Wednesday. I had a good day of work. Round two of training is complete and I was released to troubleshoot problems on my own. I enjoy the work. I got home around 4:35 and the power wasn't on. Great.

First 10 minutes the only light source I could find was my laser pointer. That doesn't help much if your trying to use it as a flashlight. I found some matches eventually and called the power company. They didn't seem to be that interested in my electricity being out.

Since it was dark, and we really didn't have any food in the house, I decided we should go out to eat. Clint called with the same idea so Emily and I met him at Monicals Pizza in Tilton. On the way, we figured out our whole section of town had no power. All down the street was dark, and the south part of Bowman was all dark as well.

Ok, the story nosedives from there, so I will end it. Basically we came back after visiting Lindsey's parents and the power was on.

This weekend is Neon Cactus trip. Haven't been there in months! The Hilton Garden Inn should remember me, because I have stayed there almost everytime I have gone up that way.

The Flatiron Life is back!
Check out the new look over at www.tomaw.com

I don't know about being called a dedicated blogger. When I make my rounds on the web to my news/blog sites I check out, tomaw.com is always one of the first. I did notice I was reading about the hybrid cars a lot and when I checked on him, he was doing well, and promised a new layout coming soon.

The Car Is Done!
Hell yeah! Took the car in this morning, and had the guy check out the struts. Needed to replace both rear struts and the mounts. Said he would try to get it done by tomorrow night.

Surprise! He called just a little while ago and said it was done. I'm gonna pick it up in the morning and drive it to work! Yay! Damage money wise isn't too bad. Nothing my next check from Work won't cover. I'm pumped!

Broken Car
My car needs help. The right rear strut just came off. Had to cancel my plans for the night. Now I have to take it in in the morning and see if I can get it worked on before drill this weekend. Also means I will be late for work. Not to excited about that, but it can't be helped.

Today, I took off all the re-directs (on my website) that I had going on. If you were still using an old link or bookmark that didn't take you directly here, it won't work anymore.
